The BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt Leaders Network

As a global network foundation, we believe in the power of collaboration. Our goal is to strengthen an innovative and responsible economy while promoting an open and future-proof society. The BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt Leaders Network unites more than a thousand decision-makers and experts from over 100 countries across business, policy, science, and civil society. It was launched in the early 2000s as a dynamic component of the Foundation’s international activities.

The Network creates a strategic framework for this: It unites decision-makers from all over the world to jointly develop and implement solutions.

The Power of the Network

What Does Membership Mean Concretely?

We actively scout new members who we believe can make an impactful contribution to our mission and strategic focus areas. We are especially looking for individuals who combine influence, expertise, excellence, and leadership experience, and have already successfully advanced important transformations. Membership is by invitation only and independent of participation in BMW Foundation initiatives, activities, and events. It is valid for a limited period of time and evaluated at regular intervals.

Standards

Network Compliance Guidelines

As a German nonprofit organization, the BMW Foundation adheres to strict legal and ethical standards, including the prevention of conflicts of interest and the principle of neutrality.Although the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt and the BMW Group are independent organizations, compliance guidelines also apply to situations involving the BMW Group.Network members may not be involved in decisions that immediately affect the BMW Foundation. In addition, they may not act or speak on behalf of the Foundation, unless they have been expressly asked to do so. These rules refer especially to political, administrative, or legislative decisions that may directly impact Foundation activities.
